Welcome to the City of Linden Treasurer’s web-site.  Our goal is that this site will allow you to easily access information concerning property taxes, assessments, utility bills, and special assessments.   You are also able to print forms that you may need to file with our office related to your property.  You may use the information on this site to become familiar with the City’s budget and financial statements.  

The number one goal of the Treasurer’s office is to serve our citizens to the best of our ability and to treat them fairly and with respect. The treasurer’s department consists of the treasurer and deputy treasurer.    The department is responsible for the collection, custody, distribution, and accounting of all city funds.  

The department collects taxes and disburses funds for the City, Mott Community College, Genesee Intermediate School District, Linden School District, MTA, Bishop Airport, Genesee County for general operating, parks, library, paramedics, senior citizens, health care, and state education tax.  For more information click here

The department is responsible for billing and collection of the quarterly utility bill and the collection of special assessments.  The department is responsible for the accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting required by the city, state, and federal government.

The department is the city’s general accountant and keeps the city’s books to account for the assets, receipts, and expenditures.  The department is responsible for the investment and accounting of all surplus funds.  

Gloria Kirshman has been with the City since 1984 and has been the treasurer since 1986. Gloria was awarded her Certified Public Finance Administrator (CPFA) credential in 1996 and has maintained her credential through continuous professional development.  The CPFA credential is awarded through the Association of Public Treasurers’ of the United States & Canada.
