The primary aim of the City of Linden Planning & Zoning Department is to maintain the long-term sustainability of our community, economy, and environment with prompt, professional service. More specifically, the department is responsible for the administration of the City's Master Plan and Zoning Ordinance. Our staff provides professional support to the Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, Sign Review Committee, and Downtown Development Authority.
In addition, we provide professional assistance to homeowners, businesses, and developers on issues ranging from helping a homeowner determine the appropriate location for a new fence to working with a developer to create a site plan for development. Included on this page are links to relevant planning and zoning documents, application forms, and a flow chart summarizing the development review process within the City.
Hard copies of selected reports, including the Master Plan and Zoning Ordinance, are available for purchase ($25.00 each), upon request.
