RESURFACING PROJECT FOR E. BROAD STREET

The E. Broad Street project has reached a new phase. The contractor has flipped eastbound traffic to the newly paved north side lane. Traffic flow on E. Broad will remain eastbound only.

Note the following for those within the construction work zone:

Mail Delivery

Mail for properties on the north side of E. Broad will continue to be delivered to the temporary mailboxes on Main Street in front of the post office.  Properties on the south side will continue to receive direct delivery. However, there may be times when active construction temporarily blocks access. In those cases, the post office will hold your mail until the next available delivery.

If you are expecting important mail on days when your property is inaccessible, you may pick it up directly at the post office. The Postmaster recommends calling ahead to make arrangements at 810-735-7072.

Trash Service

We are currently working with Priority Waste to finalize the best location for trash bins to be placed on collection day. At this point, we are asking all residents on E. Broad Street to place their bins south of the centerline cones out of the open traffic lane, so that the trash truck can load from the right side while traveling eastbound.  You may want to have your address temporarily placed on your bin to avoid a possible mix up with neighbors.
