Roadway Mill and Overlay Repairs
A contractor will be starting roadway mill and overlay repairs on several major roads around town beginning Monday, July 20, 2026. The intent of the project is to slow roadway deterioration and improve ride quality by repairing several significantly worn sections of N. Bridge Street, Hickory Street, and a small section on W. Broad Street.
Drivers may experience brief delays as traffic is reduced to a single lane in the construction zones. Traffic flaggers will assist drivers as necessary in areas under active construction.
