September 11, 2001 - Never Forget
Please join the City of Linden Fire and Police Departments on Friday, September 11, 2026 as we gather in remembrance of the anniversary of 9/11.
This brief ceremony is open to the public and will be conducted rain or shine in front of City Hall located at 132 E. Broad Street.
The schedule is as follows:
8:00 a.m.
All fire trucks will be lined up in front of the fire station. A police vehicle will also be on display, with a memorial wreath placed upon it.
9:55 a.m.
Gathering in front of the station for a brief reading and prayer with our firefighters, police officers, and citizens who wish to attend.
9:58 a.m.
All available emergency personnel will assemble in front of the station at attention.
9:59 a.m.
At the time of the first tower collapse, a siren will sound for one minute.
10:00 a.m.
One minute of complete silence.
10:01 a.m.
Ceremony concludes.
We invite our community to join us as we pause to remember the lives lost, honor the heroes who served, and reflect on the strength and unity of our nation.
