The construction work zone and detour for the E. Broad Street Project are now in place. Due to the weather forecast, the majority of construction activities will be delayed until Thursday, April 30, 2026.

Note the following for those within the construction work zone:

Mail Delivery
Mail carriers will continue to access your property throughout the project when possible. However, there may be times when active construction temporarily blocks access. In those cases, the post office will hold your mail until the next available delivery.

If you are expecting important mail on days when your property is inaccessible, you may pick it up directly at the post office. The Postmaster recommends calling ahead to make arrangements at 810-735-7072.

Trash Service
Priority Waste trucks will generally be able to collect your trash from the normal location. If construction is occurring directly in front of your home on pickup day, please move your trash cans to another accessible area on your property or a neighbor’s property so the trucks can reach them.
